Lynn Mary Rode, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home in Dearborn Heights on March 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 30, 1943, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Lynn's warmth and humor characterized her life from the very beginning. With a personality reminiscent of Lucille Ball, she captivated everyone with her animated spirit and zest for life, always leading life on her own terms.
As a dedicated homemaker and devoted mother to her three children, Tamara Rode, Eric Rode, and Trisha Lessing, Lynn poured her love into nurturing her family. Her laughter and joy created a home filled with warmth and cherished memories. As a grandmother, she delighted in the lives of her grandchildren—Kaitlyn, Veronica, Logan, Blake, and Carter—each of whom carried a special place in her heart.
Lynn's ability to find humor in everyday moments endeared her to all who knew her. Her legacy is one of laughter, love, and unwavering strength. Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, the late Robert, whose memory she carried with her throughout her life. Her siblings, Diane (the late Bill) Marsnick and Alan (the late Gerry) Skinner, also predeceased her, leaving behind cherished moments and stories that will continue to resonate within the family.
Lynn's journey concluded under the gentle care of hospice, enveloped in the love of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and an infectious spirit that encouraged everyone to embrace life joyfully.
