Keating, Margaret A., age 81 of Riverview, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. Margaret was born on October 30, 1933 to her parents James and Flora McKaig (Ross). She was born and raised in Detroit, where she later married the love of her life, Patrick. They were married on September 11, 1954 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Detroit. Their marriage was blessed with seven children, Karen, Peggy, Annette, John, Brian, Laureen, and Heather. Margaret was a very dedicated mother and always put her family first. She was a strong woman, always stating she was "fine" no matter what she was going through. She enjoyed bird watching and loved cats. Margaret also loved to read People magazine and the Soap Opera Digest Margaret had a wonderful sense of humor that her family, and all who knew her, will miss dearly. Margaret is the beloved wife of 44 years to the late Patrick Keating. Loving mother of Karen (Dominic) Gorno, Peggy (Paul) New, Annette Kappeler, John (Darlene) Keating, Brian (Beth) Keating, Laureen Keating, and Heather Kirkwood. Proud grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Carol (the late Joseph) Stemmelen and Kathryn (the late Bernard) O'Brien. Margaret is also survived by other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her siblings Mary (John) Barry, James (Lorraine) McKaig, and Sarah (Andrew) Pacioni. Visitation will be held at the Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Road, on Monday 6-9 pm and Tuesday 1-9 pm with a Rosary service Tuesday at 7 pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Cyprian Catholic Church in Riverview, 13249 Pennsylvania, on Wednesday at 10:30 am with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.
