Maria Castellarin

Listen to Obituary

Castellarin, Maria, age 98 of Allen Park, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026 surrounded by her family.

Loving and beloved mother of Diane Castellarin and Dora (Mike) Mandernach. Doting Nonna of Michaela (Roger) Siders and Marissa Mandernach and Great Nonna to her fur babies.

Maria was welcomed into eternal rest by her husband Isidoro as well as her brother Achille Zanetti and her parents Osvaldo and Santina Zanetti. She is also survived by family in her native country of Italy and Canada.

For Nonna, home was where her heart belonged. She took great pride in creating a warm, welcoming, home where her family always felt loved, cared for, and together. She found great joy in tending to her garden, preparing homemade meals with love, and gathering her family around her table. Holidays held a special place in her heart, as she cherished the traditions she created, the laughter she shared, and the memories made with the people she loved most.

Maria’s greatest joy was her family. For 60 years, Maria shared her life with her beloved husband, Isidoro. She devoted her life to creating a home filled with warmth, comfort, love, and the simple moments that became treasured memories. Her daughters and granddaughters were at the center of her world, and her love could be felt by everyone who had the privilege of walking through her door.

At 98 years old, Maria leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, family, tradition, and a home that will forever hold the memories of the life she so lovingly built. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love she gave so freely will remain in the hearts of her family forever.
