Mark Grasso, a cherished member of his family and a dedicated iron worker, passed away on February 1, 2026, at Corewell Health Wayne Hospital in Wayne, MI. Born on September 15, 1956, Mark was a proud graduate of Southgate Anderson High School, and his career as an iron worker led him to become a valued member of Local 25.

Mark was known for his smart-ass personality, which brought joy and laughter to those around him. Above all, he loved his family more than anything. He was a devoted father to his children, Mark A. Grasso and Corinne Grasso, and he embraced the role of grandfather with pride, leaving behind a legacy of joy through his grandchildren: Victoria, Seth, Adam, Hailey, Dylan, David, and Savannah. His affection extended beyond his immediate family; he will be remembered fondly by his siblings, Maryann (Gary), Gus (Kathy), Chris (Lisa), and Mario (Linda). Mark also shared a special companionship with Elizabeth and will be missed by his beloved grand dogs, Thor and Chessa.

He was predeceased by his parents, Armando and Rose (Horvath) Grasso, and his sister, Victoria (Frederick). He is survived by an array of nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.

Visitation will take place at The Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, located at 10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI, 48101, on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service honoring Mark's life will be held at the same location on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM.

Mark’s presence will be deeply missed, and his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly.
