Mark Joseph Guyon

Mark Joseph Guyon, of Grosse Ile, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 on the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross. Mark certainly carried a heavy cross for the past 20 years, crippled from a life-changing stroke. Mark was a brilliant man and was generous with his time and talent. He had a razor-sharp wit and a sarcastic twinkle in his eye. Always ready with a clever quip at every opportunity. He was a mentor to his brother Paul and protector to his beloved sister, Ann Marie (Russell). Mark was a good and responsible father, friend, provider. He was a hard worker. Mark was the perfect role model. Mark is survived by his siblings, Richard (Sally) Guyon, Paul (Sharon) Guyon, and Ann Marie Russell (Donald); his nieces and nephews; Jacob, Joseph, and Elijah Guyon, Daniel Guyon (Kathleen), Kathryn Guyon (Chris), Megan Russell, Donnie Russell, Sarabeth, Benjamin, Amelia, Alexander, Christopher, Patrick, Rebekka Guyon, his sister in law, Leslie Hendges-Guyon, and his stepchildren, Justin, and Nicole. Mark is preceded in death by father and mother; Drs. Joseph F. Guyon, and Mary Ann (Watkins) Guyon, and brothers, David Guyon, and Dr. Gregory Guyon.
