He and Marcia returned from California to start a family in Livonia. He helped unionize the Ticket Counter Agents at Capital Airlines (later to be United Airlines) and then went to work for Eckridge Meat Company. All told Martin and Marcia ran 4 different businesses over 40 years in 3 communities. He was a Cub Master in Ecorse for many years and always active in both Ecorse and Lincoln Park School events. He always had time for each of his 5 children. He worked in 5 state area selling money orders for several different companies. He often traveled with his wife so they wouldn't get bored going back and forth across different states. He was honored several times with the title of Salesman of the Year. The last company he worked for was Security Express a locally owned money order company started by friends. He loved doing Holiday Meals on Wheels since it's beginning in Detroit. His passions were his family, working hard, bowling, traveling, Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Wings and especially Stuart. He lived to love and loved to live and will be missed by all who knew him
