Mary Ann Meehean

Born in Detroit, Mary was the daughter of Francis and Martha (Brklacich) Smith. A graduate of Carlson High School, she worked for over 30 years as a Sales Associate at JC Penny, retiring in 2009. Mary enjoyed horses, reading and ancestry but her most treasured times were those spent with her family. Mary leaves to cherish her memory her children: Wayne (Jennifer) Meehean Jr., Kim (Warren) Smith and Kelly (Paul Tellings) Meehean-Smith; three grandchildren: Aaron, Kayla and Zachary; ten great grandchildren: Isabella, Witten, Jaxxon, Kylen, Raiden, Taryn, Natalie, Evelyn, Lillian and Addelyn; as well as three siblings: Dianna (Jerry) Heinzerling, Terry Lesczynski, Francis (Mary) Smith; her faithful companion, her dog Dunkin; and many nieces and nephews Sadly she was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson Michael. Memorial contributions in honor of Mary may be made to the American Cancer Society, Hair Loss for Children or the Devoted Barn. Mary’s family would like to thank the staff at ProMedica Monroe Hospice for the loving care given to their mother.
