Mary Rose Bennett, age 99, was born in Wyandotte on May 2, 1926 and was a longtime Trenton resident. Mary graduated from Slocum Truax High School in 1945. She was married to Charlie Moore from 1949-1970 and to Lee Bennett from 1972 until his death in 1994. Mary enjoyed volunteering at the Riverside nursery and working at a car dealership and as an operator at Ford Motor Company. Mary loved dogs, dancing, shopping, traveling, going to the casino and shows, and participating at Westfield Activities Center. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Memories of Mary will be cherished by her son Barry (Nancy) Moore; 2 grandchildren: Timothy (Emily Treleaven) Moore and Mark (Anna Locke) Moore; as well as 2 great grandchildren: James Moore and Luke Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved brother Fergus Seneski. Mary will be missed by her nieces and many neighbors and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Mary may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
