Born in Detroit, Mary Lou was the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Nycz) Kmetz. A graduate of Trenton High School, she married the love of her life, Frank Kropik, September 1, 1951. Sadly he preceded her in death September 7, 2017. A dedicated homemaker, Mary Lou also had worked at Sears and Roebuck for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Trenton and had sang in the church choir. Mary Lou was an avid Detroit Tigers Baseball fan. She enjoyed reading and knitting, but her most treasured times were those spent with her family.
Mary Lou leaves cherished memories for her children: Thomas (Nancy) Kropik, Roslyn (Rich) Moe, Susan (late Stephen) Williams and Christine (Todd) Wilhelmi; as well as 9 grandchildren: 11 great grandchildren and a sister Patricia (late Henry) Hanson. Mary Lou leaves many dear cousins, nieces, and nephews to cherish her memory. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother Andrew Kmetz.
