Mary Zammit

Mary Zammit passed away peacfully on July 12, 2022, at the age of 92. Mary was born on December 16, 1929 in Malta, Europe. She was the second of nine children. Mary was an accomplished seamstress and continued to sew until a few weeks before her death. She spent the last four years making scapulars for the missions. Mary was married to George for 60 years. They were married in Malta and immigrated to the United States. Travelling was their passion after retirement. They visited almost every country in Europe, as well as Australia, Alaska and the Panama Canal. Together they had four children: Joe (Agnes) Zammit, Ann (Timothy) Dziobak, Michael (Theresa) Zammit and Eileen (Kenneth) Rahmoeller. She was also the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren, Benjamin, Ryan, Andrea (Robert), Nicole, Matthew, Adam, Jeffrey, Thomas, Danielle and Sean. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband and best friend, George, her parents Joseph and Michelina Bartolo and her brother Anthony. Her viewing and memorial mass will take place at Cabrini Catholic Church in Allen Park on July 16, 2022 beginning at 11:30 with a mass at 12:00 pm. Burial will take place at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery immediately following mass.
