Matthew Lawrence Czernik

Matthew Lawrence Czernik passed away on October 6, 2026, at the age of 19. He was born on May 31, 2007.

Matthew will be remembered for the joy he brought to those around him. He loved Bluey, Sophia the First, going to school, riding the school bus, and being around people. He had a best smile and laugh, and he loved his new queen size bed. These simple and special parts of his life brought happiness not only to Matthew, but also to the family and friends who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Jamie Czernik; his twin brother, Andrew; his grandmother, Pam Wooden; and his aunt, Donyale (Lyle). Each of them carries forward cherished memories of Matthew and the love he shared so freely.

Matthew was preceded in death by his father, Philip, and his grandfathers, Wayne Manzo and Rayford Wooden, his paternal grandparents, Bernie and Joan Czernik, and his uncle Scott "Moose" Manzo. Their memory remained part of his family’s story, and they are lovingly remembered with him now.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at The Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101. 

Matthew will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
