Mike Thomson

Mike Thomson, passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 77 in Trenton, Michigan. Born on September 15, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, Mike lived a life full of passion and commitment to both his profession and personal interests.

For many years, Mike endeavored in retail sales, where his dedication to his work was evident to both colleagues and customers. Outside of his career, he found joy and fulfillment as a devoted coach for the Allen Park High School bowling team. An avid bowler himself, Mike achieved the remarkable feat of rolling three perfect games, a testament to his talent and love for the sport.

Mike is survived by his wife, Chris Thomson, with whom he shared 51 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they created a warm and loving home. He will also be remembered fondly for his companionship with his two cherished cats, Tony and Frankie.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Dorothy Thomson, whose influence shaped much of who he became.

Family, friends, and the community are invited to celebrate Mike's life during the visitation and funeral service scheduled for February 2, 2026, at The Trenton Chapel - Martenson Family Of Funeral Homes, located at 3200 West Rd, Trenton, MI. The visitation will begin at 4:00 PM and will continue until 8:00 PM, funeral service at 7:00 PM. Mike Thomson will be deeply missed, yet his spirit and memories will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
