Herman A. Wickenheiser, age 88, of Carleton, MI, passed away Thursday July 4, 2013 at Mercy Memorial Hospital, he had been in declining health. Herman was born November 28, 1924 in Maybee to Frank J. and Ursula (Bruck) Wickenheiser. He graduated from Carleton High School and married Marilyn Cousino January 24, 1953 at St Charles Catholic Church in Newport. Herman was a life time Farmer and was a Tool & Die Maker at Ford Motor Co. Woodhaven; he retired from Ford in 1986 after 22 years of service. Herman served as past Trustee, Treasurer and Supervisor of Exeter Township and was also a volunteer fireman for Exeter Twp. He also was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church Maybee and was a private pilot. Herman loved farming and enjoyed spending time with his family. Herman is survived by his wife Marilyn; children, Tim (Mary) Wickenheiser of Cleveland, OH, Joe (Maureen) Wickenheiser of Carleton, Karen Bayer of Monroe, Mary Chris (Bill) Olshelfske of Ypsilanti, Jeanne (Bob) Lange of Maybee, Laurie (Ken) White of Ottawa Lake, MI and Jan Evanski of Monroe; sisters, Sarah Waterstradt of Maybee and Frances Przybylo of Carleton, 24 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. Herman was preceded in death by his parents, infant brothers, Robert and Francis; sisters, Emma Hoffman, Corky Szuma and Mary Sims.
