Peter A. Nagorski, age 95 of Trenton, MI passed away peacefully at the home he built 61 years ago. He is preceded in death by his wife Rosamond (Thommen), daughter Annette M. Haley and son Alec P. Nagorski. He is survived by his baby sister Wanda Newell (age 90), daughter Amy Johnson, son Arthur (Lynn) Nagorski, son-in-law Paul L. Haley, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. "Sweety Pete" woke each day of his life with a big smile, a great sense of humor and tenacious optimism to overcome the day's challenges. He proudest accomplishment was that all five of his children earned a university education. His passions included golf (by giving everyone lessons), traveling, food, gardening (he even had a diagram on how to plant tomatoes). A veteran of the Merchant Marines during World War II Pete traveled the world. Pete and Rosie were also founding and active members of St. Timothy's Catholic Church. He had retired from BASF Wyandotte 29 years ago in 1988 after working there for over 40 years. During his 95 years he has left a style of living that cannot be forgotten. To celebrate and appreciate his legacy we can only try to do the same. Visitation will be at The Martenson Funeral Home on West Rd in Trenton on Fri Oct 27, 2017 from 3pm to 8pm with Rosary at 7pm. Mass will be said at St. Timothy Catholic Church at 10am Sat Oct 28, 2017. He will be laid to rest in Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock. A memorial luncheon will be held afterwards.
