Mr. Robert A. Chambers

Chambers, Robert A., age 66, February 18, 2014 of Grosse Ile, Michigan. Beloved husband of Christine. Loving father of Krista (her fiancé Matt Kanewske) and Alan (his fiancé Gillian Fred) Chambers. Also survived by his sister Kathy (Lee Nicholson) Chambers; his brother Russell (Katie) Chambers and his sister-in-law Linda Demmer. He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Chambers, and his parents, Arthur Eugene Chambers and Jacqueline Newell Chambers. Robert was incredibly involved with his family and the community. He greatly enjoyed rowing, boating and watching sailboats and freighters on the Livingston Channel from the deck of his and Christine's home. He was an avid and accomplished photographer and film developer, resulting in gallery shows, and was active with the Ann Arbor Camera Club. He proudly served on the boards of the Grosse Ile Historical Society and the Grosse Ile Rowing Club. Robert was also the founder and president of Alloy Technology Incorporated, a successful technology manufacturing company that he built from the ground up in Wyandotte, Michigan.
