William Joseph Gagnon "Joey", age 49, passed away June 7, 2012, at Oakwood Southshore Medical Center, Trenton, MI. He was born February 28, 1963, to Zola "June" Francisco and Philip C. Gagnon, Sr., in Trenton, Mich. He was a lifelong resident of Gibraltar and a graduate of Parsons Elementary School and Oscar A. Carlson High School. He attended Washtenaw Community College and Monroe County Community College. He worked at McLouth Steel and Spartan Industries. Some of William's favorite pastimes were fishing, chess, salt water aquariums, computers, football, tennis, baseball, golf, walking, biking, the beauty of nature, and most of all, spending time with family. William was a people person and was great at entertaining his nieces, nephews and children. He loved animals, especially cats and dogs. He will be missed and his memory will forever be cherished by his mother Zola "June" Francisco, step-father Eulis D. "Cisco" Francisco; sisters Dolores Westover of Byron and Helen Bellmore of Taylor; brothers Philip C. Gagnon, Jr. and Thomas Francisco (Susan), both of Gibraltar; nieces Shannon Golematis (Louie) of Woodhaven, Nicole Ehinger (Greg) of Pinckney; nephews Gerard Westover II of Novi, Justin Westover of Maryville, Tenn. and Jeffrey Bellmore of Taylor; great-nephews Brendan Furrow and Yiorgos Golematis, both of Woodhaven. He was preceded in death by his father, Philip C. Gagnon, Sr. Memorial contributions to honor Joey's memory may be made to the donor's choice.
