Mrs. Minnie R. Terrasi

Minnie R. Terrasi, age 88 of Brunswick, Georgia, former long- time resident of Monroe, died November 23, 2012 at the Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick. Born July 8, 1924 in Lorain, Ohio, Minnie was the daughter of Sam & Sabatina (Laurito) Grego. She married Fred Terrasi on March 2, 1946. Sadly he preceded her in death October 9, 1996. A dedicated, mother and grandmother Minnie was known for being a great cook who loved entertaining family and friends. She was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Monroe for over 50 years. As an avid card player, and Detroit Tigers fan, she introduced both to her Georgia friends. Minnie leaves to cherish her memory many friends, relatives and her daughters: Carol (Larry) Buckenmeyer of Brunswick, Georgia and Dianne Terrasi (Nancy Price) of Tavernier, Florida; three grandchildren: Kristin Buckenmeyer, Jill (John) Stewart and Shane Zelm as well a great grandson Thomas James "TJ" Stewart. In addition to her husband and parents, Minnie was preceded in death by her son Jerry Terrasi, three brothers: Pat Grego, John Grego and Charles Grego; along with four sisters: Rose Galzerano, Mary Terrasi, Lena Terrasi and Theresa (Giarmo)Krupiak. Friends may call Friday, January 11, 2013 from 10 am until 12 noon at the Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 203 E. Elm Ave. A 12:30 Memorial Mass to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church , 924 E Second Street, Monroe, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Joseph Church, Monroe.
