Listen to Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Nikolle Gjergji Lucaj, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and husband, who left us on September 24, 2025, at his home in the presence of his cherished family. Born on February 1, 1964, in Delaj, he was the son of Gjergji and Maruka (Lulgjuraj) Lucaj. Nikolle was a man whose life journey touched many hearts and left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Nikolle was known for his unwavering work ethic as a dedicated laborer, proudly providing for his family throughout his life. His determination and perseverance were evident in his every endeavor, whether it was at his job or the countless hours spent tinkering on cars. He found great joy in working with his hands, a testament to his resourcefulness and craftsmanship. Nikolle was also an avid fisherman, often seen casting his line into local waters, finding peace and solace in nature.

Having earned his high school diploma, Nikolle understood the value of education and instilled this belief in his sons. He was not only a hard worker but also a loving and devoted father to Martin (Mary) Lucaj and Mark Lucaj. His pride and love for them were visible in every conversation and interaction they shared. As a grandfather, Nikolle delighted in the company of his grandson, Isaac Lucaj, cherishing the moments they spent together, filled with laughter and learning.

Nikolle's family circle extended to his siblings: Ndue, Gjon, Lula, Vitore, Gjyste and Lena, with whom he shared a bond that transcended words. Together they navigated life's challenges, supporting one another through thick and thin. The love they had for each other was a shining example of family loyalty and connection.

Nikolle is remembered lovingly by his family for the warmth he brought into their lives. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of love, hard work, and dedication will continue to inspire those he left behind. Though he is reunited with his beloved wife, Fida Hamade, and his parents in eternal peace, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

As we honor the memory of Nikolle Gjergji Lucaj, let us carry forward the lessons of love, hard work, and family that he embodied so beautifully throughout his life. May his soul rest in peace, knowing he has left behind a legacy cherished by many.
