Norma Varga (1934–2025)

Norma Varga, 91, of Trenton, MI, passed away in the company of her daughters on November 14, 2025.

Born in Wyandotte, MI, in 1934 to John and Sophia Sobczyk, Norma attended Wyandotte High School before working as a secretary at Wyandotte Chemical. She celebrated over 50 years of marriage with her love, George, whom she met through a mutual friend. She was an active member of St. Stanislaus Church, where she also worked as a school secretary. Norma enjoyed playing word games on her iPad, knitting, and crocheting. Her children and grandchildren were the joy of her life.

Norma was preceded in death by her loving husband, George; her parents, John and Sophia Sobczyk; her sister, Marilyn Kato; her brother, John Sobczyk; and her sons-in-law, Mike Bedra and Tom Gibbs. She is survived by her loving daughters, Jeanne Gibbs, Ann Bedra, Andrea Sparks (Bryan), and Georgina McDole (David); her brother, Micheal (Kathy) Sobczyk; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
