Norman Conrad Mayrand

Born in Detroit, Norman was the son of Henry and Blanche (Racette) Mayrand. He married the love of his life, Shirley Schoenith, on October 11, 1954. Norman was an Electrician at Great Lakes Steel for over 47 years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lourdes Catholic Church in River Rouge and St. Andre’ Bessette Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. Norman leaves to cherish his memory, Shirley, his wife of the past 65 years; children: Yvonne (Robert) Burell, Bruce (Therese) Mayrand, Van Mayrand and Gregory (Janice) Mayrand; grandchildren: Bruce (Paula) Mayrand Jr., Beverly (Chad) Kirby, Jacqueline Burrell, Emily (Matthew) Johnson and Andrew Mayrand; great grandchildren: Chase, Chloe, Rosalie and Eliza; as well as three siblings: George Mayrand, Philip Mayrand and Cecile Labadie. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents; a great granddaughter Stella; and two siblings: Henry Mayrand Jr. and Paul Mayrand. Memorial contributions in honor of Norman may be made to Grace Hospice or St. Andre’ Bessette Catholic Church.
