Patricia Kathleen Demko, age 89, of Dearborn Heights, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025.

She was a devoted sister to Cecelia Salewske and Kathleen Escamilla, and is preceded in death by her beloved parents John Demko and MaryAnn Demko, as well as her brothers Michael Demko and Joseph Demko. She is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews,

Pat built a distinguished career as a gifted executive assistant. She retired from Burroughs (the first time), but after a few years, her dedication and strong work ethic brought her back into the workforce at Ford Motor Company, where she ultimately retired for a second and final time. Her professionalism, loyalty, and grace made her an invaluable support to countless colleagues throughout her career.

Pat spent many years traveling with a close circle of lifelong friends—Europe and Hawaii being among her most cherished destinations. Upon retirement, she continued to nurture her love of adventure and became a regular cruise traveler with her family. She also enjoyed simple joys in life, including playing the penny slots, where she found fun and laughter.

A talented crocheter and knitter, Pat shared her skill generously, gifting beautiful handcrafted treasures that will be forever loved.

Pat will always be remembered for her generosity. She loved to shop—rarely for herself, but always seeking the perfect bargain or gift for someone else. Throughout the year, she donated bags of new items to those in need, living a life defined by thoughtfulness and quiet generosity.

We are particularly grateful to Pat’s “friends” — the many loving and dedicated caregivers at her memory care center — who supported her with kindness, dignity, and compassion. Their patience, and gentle presence brought her comfort and joy, and our family will forever be thankful for the care they provided.

In honor of Pat’s lifelong spirit of giving, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the Toys for Tots campaign, so her legacy of kindness may continue to bring joy to others.

Pat’s warmth, humor, and loving nature will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
