Patrick Lacey

Patrick Michael Lacey was born on February 15, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan and died on August 28, 2021 at Beaumont Hospital Dearborn at the age of 70; he was of Taylor. Beloved husband of 44 years to Carol. Loving dad of Shaun (Sandra) and Kristin. Dearest brother of Donald (Susan) Lacey and Judi (James) Starosta. Also survived by other loving family and friends. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Eleanor (nee: Wollschlager) Lacey. Patrick had many beloved hobbies throughout his life, from motorcycles and toy trains to bass fishing and slot car racing. He was extremely creative and often added his personal touch to woodworking and painting projects. He shared his love for animals with his family, and though pets had to be limited due to allergies, he was always excited to go feed ducks and geese or toss peanuts to the squirrels. Jake, the family's pet rabbit, is heartbroken without his best friend and most faithful treat-feeder. He enjoyed watching movies and TV, listening to comedy routines, and explored a wide range of music genres (from 60's Motown to AC/DC to Ed Sheeran to Five Finger Death Punch). He wasn't big on sports or politics, but he'd gladly debate any topic you put before him. He is loved and will be dearly missed by many. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions to honor Patrick’s life may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Stroke Association.
