Phyllis A. Jordan

Phyllis A. Jordan, age 82 of Detroit, left this earthly world on December 17, 2021. Phyllis was born in Detroit on February 13, 1939 to the late James and Esther (Zielke) Fagan. She remained in the area her whole life and attended Western High School. On June 17, 1967 she married the love of her life Alfred Jordan. Phyllis was a homemaker who also spent time as a sales clerk and the friendly neighborhood Avon lady. Being an avid bowler, Phyllis bowled in many leagues and served as the secretary for them for many years. Phyllis was a kind and gentle lady with a heart of gold who was always helping someone with their needs to the best of her ability. Phyllis never had any children of her own but became a mom to her dear nephew Donald as well as all her friends’ children. Phyllis is survived by nephews Donald and John, Nieces Penny Jordan and Mary (Kenneth) Cardwell, cousins Susan Zielke, Vincent (Marilyn) Musto and Karen (Joe) Robinson, as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with her parents, Phyllis was also preceded in death by her husband Al, brother Tom, sister-in-law Helga and nephews, Dennis and Wayne. Family will receive friends at 11 am, prior to the funeral home service at 12:30 pm on December 21st, 2021 at Martenson Funeral Home. Private graveside service to follow. The family wishes to thank Henry Ford Hospital staff for their care and understanding. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be directed to a charity of one’s choice.
