Ransom Carl Upton

Randy Upton, 74, of Riverview, Michigan, passed away on September 3, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Randy was married to his wife, Christina, for 47 years. Together they built a life centered around family, sharing nearly five decades of marriage and creating countless memories with their children and grandchildren.

Randy was a proud father to his son, Matthew, and daughter, Laura, and welcomed their spouses, Alicia and James, as family. He was especially proud to be a grandfather to his five grandchildren, Olivia, Morgan, Charlotte, Ryan, and Allison. His family was the most important part of his life, and the time spent together will remain among their most treasured memories.

After family, music was one of the great passions of Randy’s life. He loved to play guitar and sing, and music was a constant presence throughout his life and in his home. More importantly, he passed that love of music on to his children, sharing with them something that became part of who they are as well.

In addition to his immediate family, Randy is survived by his siblings, Janet, James, and Greg. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
