Rita I. Shonk

Rita I. Shonk, formerly of Wyandotte, passed away February 27, 2024. Loving wife of Donald for 65 beautiful years. Cherished mother of Kevin (Lisa), Colleen (Todd), Neil, and Gerard. Proud grandmother of Nicholas and Liam. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Mary Wyzykowski, and her three brothers, Chester, Raymond, and Gregory.

Rita worked for 17 years at Rivergate Health Center as a nurse’s aide. She loved playing cards, and was a member of a pinochle club, and enjoyed playing euchre. She was always helping at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. She adored arts and crafts and was wonderful at pottery.
