Robert J. Herman

Robert J. Herman, age 56 of Monroe, passed away April 29, 2012. Born October 19, 1955 in the Netherlands, Robert was the son of Johannes and Christina (Braam) Herman. He married Karen Maria Papin on July 22, 1988 in Dearborn, MI. Robert worked as a saw operator in the steel industry for over 20 years. He enjoyed working on cars, golfing, riding his motorcycle and most all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Robert leaves to cherish his memory two sons Robert D. Herman and Jeffrey A. Herman, both of Monroe; a stepson Christopher D. Papin of Monroe; a stepdaughter Danielle M. (Mike) Nebehay of Monroe; a brother John A. (Pat) Herman of Belleville and two sisters Yvonne (Dennis) McComb of Oxford, MI and Marianne C. (Eldean Ott) Scroggins of Carleton. Robert will also be missed by his six grandchildren Dominic, Gabriella, Adriana, Christopher Jr., Thomas and Sylus. Sadly Robert was preceded in death by his wife Karen; parents Johannes and Christina and a brother Edward A. Herman. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
