Robert L. Sperling

Robert L. Sperling of Flat Rock, Michigan passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 at the age of 91, just 10 days after his beloved wife of 72 years, Betty Sperling. Cherished father of Michaela (Dixon) Smith, Teri (Mike) Creighton, and Kathleen (John) Masserant. Dearest grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 16. Dear brother of Kathleen (the late Joseph) Antolovic and Gerald (Mary Jane) Sperling. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Julia Sperling and his sister Barbara (the late William) Gepes. Robert was a dedicated employee of McLouth Steel and retired after 32 years. He was an avid reader, boater, and fisherman. He loved building model airplanes and boats. He was very gifted in carpentry and built nearly every home he had ever lived in himself. He will be deeply missed by many loving family and friends.

Funeral arrangements for Robert have been entrusted to the Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 3200 West Road, 48183. A memorial service will be held at a later date by the family. Please check the obituary accordingly for updates as to when that will be held.
