Robert W. Sims May 5, 1952-February 23, 2021 Robbie was a very simple man who loved his family more than anything. His care for those close to him showed itself in spontaneous trips and peaceful moments. Robbie lived his life looking out the window and listening to music, pulling over to pick flowers, and fishing on the river. He loved music and nice cars. For Robbie, there was always room for dessert and another hour all together. He loved his children, topped only by his love for his grandchildren. He was always interesting and you never knew what to expect. It was always good to hang around for the ride. Robbie’s value for family made anyone around him happy. Robert Sims was Baloo the Bear; he was about the bare necessities and the beauty in life. Cherished husband of Virginia Sims. Beloved son of Donna Sims. Loving father of Shayla (Vitello) Hopper, Jessica (Sims) Jolley, and Julie (Sims) Hurley. Stepfather of Donald Townsend. Dearest grandfather of Presley Feezell, Willow Jolley, Charlotte Jolley, Nicholas Hopper, Amber Hurley, and Natalie Hurley. Brother of Debbie Trimper. Robert is preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Sims, as well as siblings, Jay Sims and Suzie Davenport. contributions in memory of Robbie's life may be made to the Arc Michigan Chapter.
