Robert Yoches

Robert Yoches, 77, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Robert was born in Detroit, MI. He and his late wife, Mary, shared 47 years of marriage and raised their family in Dearborn Heights, MI.

Loving father of Sarah (Michael) Maffesoli, Sr. Rita Clare “Anne” Yoches and Matthew (Adrienne) Yoches. Proud Papa of Alana, Ben, Sam, Dani, DJ, and Lizzie. Robert is preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary, his parents Charles and Helen Yoches, and sister Barbara.

Robert attended Dearborn Fordson (1966) before earning his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.A. in Management at General Motors Institute. His career at General Motors spanned 36 years in total. Robert was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and the Knights of Columbus.

A long time athlete and sports fan, Coach Yoch spent over 30 years coaching various youth and high school sports. He enjoyed golfing, traveling and cheering on his grandchildren.
