Roland (Ron) Fix

Roland (Ron) Fix, age 83 of Taylor, passed away peacefully on December 29th, 2023.

Ron was born June 6th, 1940 in Wyandotte to the late Donald and Rowena Fix. Loving husband of the late Darlene. Dear father of Linda (Bill) Hamrick, Tom (Dorian) Fix and Scott (Angie) Fix. Proud grandfather of Luke, Emily, Nicole, Daniel, Benjamin, Caitlin, and Jessica. Also survived by his sister JoAnne Brecht and his loving dog Dusty.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by siblings Mary Ann Fix, Robert Fix, Donna May Kruso, Kay Green, David Fix, and twin brother Ralph Fix.

Ron proudly served his country in the United States Army and was employed for 35 years at Ford Motor Company. He was an active member with the Knights of Columbus Father Saylor Council since 1974 and previously poured into the youth through the Columbian Squires.

Most importantly was Ron’s family. He dedicated his life and time to his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved making memories with them while camping, spending time at the cottage, and through their many activities.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 4th, 2024 from 2:00pm – 9:00pm, K of C Rosary 6:00pm, at the Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 5th, 2024 from 9:30am until time of Mass at 10:00am, at St. Alfred Catholic Church, 24175 Baske St., Taylor, MI 48180. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Brownstown Twp.
