Listen to Obituary

Rose Gaglio, age 83, was called home to God on February 17, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Faro; her infant daughter, Rosa; her infant son, Faro; her parents, Dominic and Lena Cottone; and her sisters, Nancy Mastronardi, Fay Emery, and Mary Cottone.

Rose was the loving mother of Russell; Dominic (Josie); Joe; Rosa (Brian); and Faro (Sara). She is survived by her dear siblings Sam (Shelley), Vincent, and Joann (Brett).

She was a wonderful and devoted Nonna to her 13 cherished grandchildren: Faro, Nino, Enzo, Rosella, Emilio, Zaro, Lia, Tony, Christian, Mia, Evelena, Delmazio, and Santino.

Rose enjoyed participating in activities with her friends at the Downriver Italian American Club. She especially loved road trips, playing Bunko and cards, and spending time laughing with friends. She also found great joy in baking bread and cookies for her family and friends.

Rose will be remembered as a kind, loving, and devoted woman who treasured her family and cherished being an active part of their lives. Her warmth, faith, and generous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
