Rosemarie Anne (Toth) Gabor, age 84, left this world peacefully on May 30, 2025, and has moved on towards her forever home in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born on June 6, 1940 and resided in Allen Park, Michigan where she and her husband raised their family.
Rosemarie was a picture of a Proverbs 31 woman. A woman of unwavering faith in God, with grace and mercy, she was a helpmate to her husband and, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, parents, extended family, and friends blessed her. So much of her life was dedicated to the care of her family and seeing to the needs of others, but that servant heart is what gave her life. She had a warm soul and was a shining light to every person who knew her, and strangers or new acquaintances could expect to be greeted with a warm smile and kind words. Her heart was an open book filled with compassion and charity for all. Rosemarie was truly a beautiful woman inside and out.
Born with an angelic voice, Rosemarie spent the majority of her life as a member of the Ford Chorus, the choirs of St. Hugh Catholic Church in Southgate and Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Taylor as well as St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Harrison, Michigan, where she cherished spending time with family and welcomed friends with gracious hospitality at her cottage on Cranberry Lake. In addition to singing, she also enjoyed dancing, especially to a polka. She could be spotted on the dance floor with a cousin at many weddings and Polish festivals throughout the years.
Rosemarie is preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Marie Gabor, her husband, John Anthony Gabor and her son, John Joseph Gabor.
She is survived by her children, Jackie Cross (Dennis), Tricia Gabor and Dan Gabor (Heather); her siblings, Barbara McPherson, Walt Jordanek (Anne) and Janet Jablonski; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will miss her and whose lives she has profoundly impacted. Her family sincerely appreciates all the love that was reciprocated back to Rosemarie throughout her lifetime. Her beautiful soul is now at rest.
Visitation will take place at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 3 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The service will take place on Wednesday, June 4 where Rosemarie will lie instate from 9:30 until mass begins at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, in Taylor.
