Sam Wilson

Sam Wilson, age 80 of Taylor, MI, passed away on May 1, 2025. He was the devoted husband to Geri (Wieckowski) of 55 years. Sam was also a loving father to his children Amy (Mark) Klotz and Eric Wilson, cherished grandfather to Andrew (Kayla) Klotz, Morgan Klotz, and Madison Klotz, and dear great-grandfather to Eleanor and Wyatt Klotz.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Elsie Wilson, as well as his brother Robert Wilson.

Sam served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 – 1966. During his time in the Navy, he was stationed in San Diego, California, and was deployed aboard the USS Duncan, a destroyer, in Japan.

Sam lived an active life, both physically and mentally. He enjoyed golfing, bicycling, and running, as well as crossword puzzles, sudoku, reading, and making bread. Above all else, Sam enjoyed spending time with his family, specifically his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
