Saverio Pallotta

Saverio Pallotta, age 100 of Allen Park, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Born in Bagnoli del Trigno, Italy, he was the proud son of Adelmo and Michelina Pallotta. He and his family left Italy after WWII to migrate to America via Ellis Island. He worked as a crane operator at Great Lakes Steel for 45 years.

He was a beloved husband to his late wife, Antonietta Pallotta, for 60 years. Saverio was a loving father to Lina (Steve) Maier and Bernice (Jim) Murray; sadly he was preceded in death by his son, Adelmo Pallotta. He was a beloved grandfather (known as Pepa) to Nicholas and Adam Murray. He was a devoted brother to the late Irma (late Anthony) Pallotta. Saverio was also well loved by his nieces, nephews and other family members.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Allen Park Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. Allen Park, MI. There will be a rosary service at 6:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 10:00 am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 9000 Laurence Ave, Allen Park, MI. He will lie in state at 9:30 am. He will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
