Neimann, Shannon Marie, Age 48, March 7, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Shannon was so cherished and will be sadly missed by her loving mother Yvonne Zalinski Labadie Neimann of Allen Park; sister, Nicole Neimann and niece, Lilly Gleason, both of Burlington, Vermont; and preceded in death by her father, Terrance Neimann. Shannon was survived by many aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins in the DeLisle and Neimann families. She had many dear friends from far and near who will miss her terribly. Shannon was a beautiful, kind, and generous spirit and was loved by everyone who knew her. She grew up in Allen Park and graduated from Melvindale High School. She went on to earn her Bachelors degree at Northern Michigan University. With her intelligence and rockstar organizational skills, Shannon eventually landed a career as a Project/Program Manager specializing in IT implementations for global companies. She developed friendships with people around the world and appreciated the diverse perspectives that friends and colleagues brought to her life. Shannon was actually a homebody but when she did leave her comfy abode, she made it count. Her interests included doting on her niece, Lilly, and traveling across Europe and the United States, especially Wyoming and Vermont. She took pride in being a Detroit-girl and enjoyed taking in the sights, sounds and history of Detroit. She loved fancy food with a good wine shared with friends, but was just as happy having a beer at the VFW. Attending concerts and live performances was also one of her favorite things, and she enjoyed exploring offbeat art and cultural experiences. Aside from the things she liked to do, she created deep, lasting relationships with those around her, and if you were her friend you considered yourself very lucky. Shannon's wish was to be cremated. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at St. Cyprian's Church of Riverview, MI. Doors open at 10:00am for a 10:30 service at the church. Immediately following, there will be a luncheon to celebrate Shannon's life at Crystal Gardens, Fort Street in Southgate, 11:30-2:30. In lieu of flowers, donations in Shannon's memory may be made to Arbor Hospice of Ann Arbor, MI.
