Shirley L. Bezeau

Born in Monroe, Shirley was the daughter of Emil and Alberta (Measel) Rushlow. A 1945 graduate of Monroe High School, she married the love of her life, Darrell J. Bezeau on February 9, 1945 at St Joseph Catholic Church in Monroe. Sadly he preceded her in death after 69 years of marriage, on June 28, 2014. A dedicated homemaker, Shirley also worked for over 29 years in the business office at Mercy-Memorial Hospital. She was an avid member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, participating on the Parish Council, the Resurrection Choir, was a Eucharistic Minister and active with the Women of St. Joseph Altar Society. She enjoyed camping, belonged to the Belgian-American Club and bowled with the Greenhorn Bowling League. Shirley leaves to cherish her memory her children: Darrell (Karen) Bezeau Jr. of Monroe, Bruce (Megan) Bezeau of Monroe, Elaine (Barry) Bunkelman of Monroe and Connie Eldridge of Jacksonville, Florida; eight grandchildren: Bradley (Anne) Bezeau, Shannon (Adams) Hoskins, Leah (Andy) Marinelli, Traci Bunkelman, Drake (Sara) Bunkelman, Kylee Bezeau, Jacques Bezeau and Joel Bezeau; as well as nine great grandchildren: Taylor Kramer, Chance Bezeau, Tate Bezeau, Sofia Bunkelman, Jude Bunkelman, Vivia Bunkelman, Joseph Marinelli, Elsie Marie Hoskins and Garren Hoskins.
