Shirley R. Thompson

Shirley was born on February 16, 1947 in Chevrolet, Kentucky and went Home to be with the Lord on April 14, 2021 at the age of 74; she was of Battle Creek and formerly of Trenton, Michigan. Cherished wife of 49 years to Paul. Loving mom of Jennifer Rene Thompson. Dearest sister of Charlie (Angie) Lockaby, Patricia Woodward, Wanda (the late Ralph) Hoskins. Also survived by her nieces, nephews, other loving family and her life-long friend Gail Hall as well as many other friends. Loving sister in law of Ermalee Stanley (Paul Stanley). Preceded in death by her parents James and Louise (nee: Morgan) Lockaby; her twin infant sisters and one infant brother; her sister Joyce Meadows and her brother Jim Lockaby. Visitation is on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 1 pm to 8 pm with a service on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 5 pm all at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd., Trenton; Pastor Loyd Locklear will officiate. Memorial contributions to honor Shirley’s life may be made to the family. To those attending visitation and/or services at the funeral home for a loved one, in keeping with CDC and State of Michigan DHHS guidelines, masks and social distancing along with limitations on number of person(s) in the chapel must be followed and will be enforced.
