Steve VanMaele

Steven Arthur VanMaele passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 19th, 2026. He was born on July 31st, 1962 to Ronald and Cynthia VanMaele in Detroit, Michigan. He grew up in Roseville with his four siblings Ron, Bruce, Lorrie, and Linda.

Steve was a devoted and loving husband and father, who will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and dependability. He had a warm smile and a contagious laugh. Steve and his wife Susan would have celebrated 37 years of marriage on September 8th, 2026. His love for her was strong and unwavering, and he always spoke of her adoringly. As a father he was selfless, putting the needs of his family before himself. He was a hard worker, and spent his time making efforts to create a beautiful life for his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Susan, and their two children, Jennifer and Allan. He was loved deeply and will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

We will gather on Wednesday, August 26th to remember Steve and honor his life and legacy. Visitation will be held at Martenson funeral home in Allen Park from 2-7 P.M. with a funeral service held at 7:00 P.M. to conclude the visitation.
