Suzanne Wallace

Suzanne Wallace, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on July 15, 2026. Born on July 29, 1948, in Trenton, Michigan, Suzanne’s life was filled with warmth, devotion, and abiding love for her family and the joys she found in everyday moments.

Suzanne was the cherished daughter of the late Zoltan and Betty Barczy. She spent her formative years in Trenton, graduating from Trenton High School in 1966. Her connection to her hometown remained strong throughout her life, touching those around her with kindness and vivacity.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Karey (Jimmy) Thimmes and Stacey Stepaniak; as well as her five treasured grandchildren: Tyler, Connor, Sydney, Alex, and Lainey. Suzanne’s proudest accomplishment was her grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy and fullness to her days. Each of them carries forward her legacy of love and dedication.

Her close-knit family also includes her brothers, Alex (Tina) Barczy and Mitchell (Bridget) Barczy. Suzanne was predeceased by her parents, Zoltan and Betty Barczy, her brother, Guy Barczy, and companion of many years, Eddie Wallace, who all held special places in her heart.

Suzanne’s passions colored each chapter of her life. An avid boater, she found solace and delight in being on the water. She showed a profound admiration for lighthouses. She cherished time spent crocheting and working on puzzles, engaging her creativity and creating memories shared with those she loved.

Her warmth, integrity, and humor were evident to everyone who had the good fortune to know her. Suzanne’s legacy endures in the bonds she formed and in the countless ways she enriched the lives of those around her.

Family and friends are invited to honor Suzanne’s memory during visitations held at The Trenton Chapel - Martenson Family Of Funeral Homes, located at 3200 West Rd, Trenton, MI 48183. Visitation will be on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, also at The Trenton Chapel. Suzanne will be laid to rest at Michigan Memorial Park, 32163 Huron River Drive, Flat Rock, MI 48134.

While her presence will be deeply missed, Suzanne’s spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who were privileged to share in her remarkable journey.
