Sylvia J. Saunders passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on October 23, 1936, Sylvia lived a life marked by faith, devotion to family, and the quiet gifts she shared with those around her.

She was strong in her faith to God through Christ the King Lutheran Church, and that faith remained an important part of her life. Sylvia was also a master at quilting, a talent that reflected both her patience and her care. Through her hands and her heart, she created things of beauty and comfort that will remain cherished reminders of her.

Above all, Sylvia’s life was deeply rooted in family. She is lovingly survived by her sons, Craig (Dana) Saunders and Mark (Jeannie) Saunders. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Elisabeth, Collin (Nicole), Kelsey (Steven), and Michael. Her legacy continues in her great-grandchildren, Levi, Emma, Fisher, Ellie, Ryleigh, and Jack, each of whom carries forward a part of her love and memory.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her daughter, Leisa Cooper, and by her sister, Cheri and Cheri’s husband Bill. Their memories remained part of the story of her life and the family she held dear.

Sylvia J. Saunders will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her remarkable skill as a quilter, and the love she gave to her family through the years. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her.
