Listen to Obituary

Ted “Teddy” Hebert, of Allen Park, Michigan, passed away too soon on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at his home at the age of 58. He was born on October 5, 1967, in Burbank, California.

Ted will be remembered as a bubbly, easy-going man whose positive spirit touched the lives of those around him. He was extremely generous and giving, and his contagious smile was one that family and friends will carry in their hearts for years to come. He had a way of bringing warmth wherever he went, and the joy he shared so freely made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He spent many years working as a lineman at Ford Motor Company, where he built a life through dedication and hard work. He also took pride in owning his own Papa Romano’s, a reflection of his drive and his connection to the community.

Ted found happiness in the things he loved most. He enjoyed golfing, going to concerts, and listening to live music. He was a devoted fan of all Detroit sports, and he also loved bowling. Bowling became especially meaningful in his life, as it was where he met his wife of 22 years, JoAnne, beginning a love story that became central to his life. Above all else, Ted’s proudest accomplishment was his family, who meant everything to him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, JoAnne Hebert; his children, Michael (Vanessa) Rankin and Mackenna Hebert; his four adoring grandchildren Casey, Asher, Brielle, and Loklan, and his siblings, Susan (the late Kenny) Belden, Rick (Debbie) Hebert, and his twin, Tammy (Jeff) Johnson. He is also survived by his stepfather Joey Gugleotti. Teddy leaves behind many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members who will remember him with deep affection and gratitude. The love he gave so freely will continue to live on in all of them.

Ted was preceded in death by his father, John Hebert; his mother Beverly Gugleotti and his brothers, Randy (Hideko) Hebert and John Hebert. Their memories remained a part of his life, and now he is reunited with them.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family Of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101. Ted’s life was marked by kindness, laughter, and a genuine love for the people around him. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and lovingly carried forward in the hearts of all who knew him.
