Terry Wilson, a loving husband, step father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on October 1, 2025, at Corewell Health in Trenton, Michigan. He was born on March 30, 1967, in Eloise, Michigan, and grew up to be a dedicated individual who touched the lives of many around him.
Terry had a fulfilling career at Stellantis Warren Truck Assembly Plant, where he served as a Plant Supervisor. Known for his directness and honesty, he was a man who always communicated what was on his mind. His personality shone through in his loving and caring nature, which made him a cherished presence among his family and friends.
Educated at Taylor Center High School, from which he graduated in 1985, Terry carried the values of hard work and dedication from his formative years into his adult life. Outside of work, he had a passion for barbequing and smoking his own meats, and, which he often shared with friends and family during gatherings; he also loved to play Poker.
Terry is survived by his beloved wife of 15 years, Cara, and is remembered fondly as a stepfather to Aaron McCaskey, Brian McCaskey, and Lisa (Bill) Wilson. He was a proud grandfather to Jake Wilson and Evan Wilson. As the son of Jane and the late Bobby Wilson, Terry leaves behind a loving family that includes his siblings: Dina (Patrick) Stevens, Robert (Lynn) Wilson, Duanna Wilson, and Darcie (Jerry) Brewer. He also held a special place as the godfather and uncle of Brandon Brewer and as an uncle to Nicholas Brewer, Teegan Brewer, Austin Wilson, Kayla Wilson, Alyssa (Aaron) Layne, Tori (Brandon) Longhini, and Autumn Stevens.
Terry will be missed dearly by his canine companion, "Baby" Helga, and his cat, Diablo, adding to the void left in the hearts of those who knew him.
A visitation honoring Terry will take place on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. There will be a Rosary on Monday, the time will be added when confirmed; both at The Trenton Chapel - Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, located at 3200 West Rd, Trenton, MI 48183.
He will be remembered for the warmth and love he spread throughout his life, and the memories made will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
Memorial contributions to honor his life may be made to the PAWS charity of the donor’s choice.
