Theodore R. Lacki, affectionately known to many as "Flea," passed away on April 26, 2026, in Dearborn, Michigan. Born on January 21, 1949, at home on Florida Street in Detroit, Michigan, Ted lived a life marked by dedication, service, and deep familial bonds.
A proud graduate of St. Andrews High School in the class of 1967, Ted went on to serve his country with honor as a member of the United States Army, where he was a Vietnam Veteran. His commitment to service extended into his civilian career, where he devoted 30 years to Ford Motor Company. There, he excelled as an Electronic Technician, retiring after three decades of skilled and steadfast work.
Ted’s life was enriched by his family and close relationships. He shared 44 years of marriage with his beloved spouse, Deborah Ann Lacki. Together, they built a life steeped in love and mutual respect. Ted was a cherished uncle to Jim, Michael, David, Michelle, Charlotte, and Lisa, and a great uncle to Dekon, Bryce, Matthew, Annabelle, Elizabeth, Alexandra, Arianna, Isabella, and David. His family also includes his sisters Frances Klatt (widow of the late James), Kathleen Hoak (widow of the late Larry), and his sister-in-law, Mary Jane Curran (widow of the late Michael). He leaves behind many loving friends who will remember him fondly. Ted was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Genevieve Lacki, and his brother, James Lacki.
A visitation to honor Ted’s life will be held on April 30, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and an Honor Guard service at 6pm at The Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family Of Funeral Homes, located at 10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, Michigan, 48101. A funeral mass will be held at St. Edith Catholic Church on Friday May 1, 2026 with an instate at 9:30 AM and a service at 10:00 PM. Burial will take place St. Hedwig Cemetery.
Theodore R. Lacki’s legacy of service, skill, and familial devotion will be remembered with great respect and admiration by all who had the privilege to know him. His memory lives on in the hearts of his family and friends.
