It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Timothy Joseph Hodnicki, who left this world peacefully in his sleep on February 2nd, 2026, at the age of 59. While our hears ache, we take comfort in knowing that Tim is now reunited with his parents and two siblings in their eternal home.
Tim grew up in Lincoln Park and graduated from Mount Carmel High School in Wyandotte, where he proudly played baseball, basketball and football. Those who knew him remember not just an athlete, but a young man full of determination and heart.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Crystal, his daughters, Ashley and Codi, his sister Linda, and three grandchildren, Calvin, Ashtyn, and Mollie.
His family was his greatest joy, and he carried his love for them in everything he did.
For more than 40 years, Tim worked as a heavy equipment mechanic-a trade he mastered with skill and dedication. Yet his true passion was always muscle cars. He owned several throughout his life and found genuine happiness in the garage, turning wrenches, and sharing stories, and helping anyone who needed a hand. If you knew Tim, you knew that his generosity wasn’t a gesture-it was who he was.
Tim was an honorable man, a steady presence, and a loving husband, father and grandfather. His kindness, loyalty, and strength touched countless lives. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
