Vicki Singleton (formerly known as Vicki Shavkey) passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on October 2, 1957, Vicki’s greatest joy and proudest achievement was her family. She devoted her life to being a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, creating countless memories that will be cherished for generations.
Her children—Kristy Singleton, Kenny (Amanda) Singleton, Martine Singleton, and her beloved son, Carl Singleton, who preceded her in death— were the center of her world. She found immeasurable happiness in watching them grow and in celebrating their milestones.
Her heart expanded even more with the arrival of her grandchildren:
Devin Booker, Dylan Singleton, Jazmine Kirk, Erynne Singleton, Abel Bragg, Hudson Singleton, Kenneth Singleton III, and Maysen Singleton—and later, her great-grandchildren, each one adding a new layer of happiness to her life
Though she and her husband, Kenneth Singleton, lived separately in later years, they remained connected through the family they built together.
Vicki held a deep and enduring bond with her siblings—Patricia Setser, Linda Perry, Lucille Dunn, Stephen Shavkey, and Michael Shavkey. She cherished the closeness they shared, the laughter that echoed through their time together, and the countless memories they built over the years. She was preceded in death by her siblings Edward Shavkey, Ronald Shavkey, and Kathleen Mason.
While her passing leaves an emptiness in our hearts, we find comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her beloved son, Carl, and her parents, Edward and Edna Shavkey. Vicki will forever be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. The traditions she began, the lessons she taught, and her unwavering love will continue to guide us, leaving a light in our lives that will never fade.
