Walter C. White

Walter was born on January 7, 1928 in Mountain Ash, Kentucky and went home to be with the Lord and his cherished wife on February 13, 2022 at the age of 94; he was of Riverview. Cherished husband of the late Bessie. Loving dad of Steve (Cathy), Pamela (Owen) Mayes and the late Gary. Proud pappaw of Matthew and Kyle. Also survived by his special nephew Glennis (Lorene) Mayne as well as many other loving family and friends. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents Heffmon and Mossie (Ellison) White, one brother and two sisters. Walter’s love in life was his wife, who he cherished above everything, he was also devoted to his family; especially his grandsons. Walter was a dedicated man who loved the Lord and his church family. He proudly served his Country in the United States Army during the Korean War; he loved to go fishing and being outdoors. Visitation is on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 3 – 8 pm at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd., Trenton. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 12 pm; Pastor Garry Barton will officiate. The interment will be at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions to honor Walter’s life may be made to the Veterans Service Organization of the donor’s choice.
