Walter K. Geist

Geist, Walter Karl Age 95. Loving husband of Phyllis for 68 years. Dear Father of Raymond, Robert (Anne), and Richard (Sarah) Geist. Proud grandfather of Katherine (Matthew) Oliver and Caroline Geist. Great grandfather of Grafton, Laken, Otto, and Camille Oliver. Walter was a WW II veteran. He served as a guidance counselor at Grosse Ile High School for many years. He was also a longtime member of Grosse Ile Presbyterian Church. He used to enjoy traveling the country in his camper and volunteering at Grosse Ile High School sporting events. A memorial celebrating Walter's life will be held at the Grosse Ile Presbyterian Church on Saturday, August 11, 2018.
