Wendy Rees

Wendy Sue Rees, age 65, of Grosse Ile, born and raised Downriver, passed away on August 6, 2026. She joins her late husband of 44 years, David Rees, and late son Justin Rees in eternity.

Loving mother to Brennan (Kim), and Brady (Hannah) Rees, and cherished in her devotion to her role as “Grandma Wendy” to Harper, Connor, Charlotte, Cooper, and Beau Rees. Proud daughter to her late parents, Ronald and Patricia Westen. Well loved by many close friends, other family members, and former colleagues.

She will be remembered for her love, kindness, selflessness, and most of all faithfulness. Though her body failed, as all of ours surely will, her spirit remained unbroken, and her legacy will continue for generations.
