William D. Merritt

William D. Merritt, age 62 of Wyandotte, passed away June 29th, 2020. Born August 29th, 1957 in Detroit, MI to the late Hiram and Mollie Merritt. Loving husband of Jayne. Dear father of Jacob (Sarah) Merritt. Beloved brother of David (Judy) Merritt, Hiram Lee (Sheila) Merritt, Barbara (Dan) Smith, Mary Gunter, and Nancy Albadani. Also survived by brother in law Jeff (Ann) Massey and many nieces and nephews. Sadly, in addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by siblings Robert Merritt, Allene Wilson, Shirley Guerra, half siblings Lindal and Darrell Ferguson, and father and mother in law Junior and Jane Massey. William had a kind and generous heart. Always helping family members and friends with whatever was needed. He loved classic cars and spending time with his dog Dozer. But there was nothing he valued more than being with his loved ones. He will be greatly missed.
