William H. Dickman, Jr., age 97 of Boca Raton, Florida, Died Sunday September 30, 2007 at Oakwood Southshore Medical Center in Trenton, Michigan. Funeral services will be held at 5:00PM Tuesday, October 2, at Faith United Methodist Church, Trenton, Michigan. Graveside services will be Thursday, October 4, 12:00 Noon, at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Dickman was born in Rock Island, Illinois July 24, 1910 and lived there until 1991 when he moved to Florida. He was the proud owner of Superior Business Machines until his retirement in 1968. An avid fisherman and golfer, his memberships included the Rock Island Elks club for 65 years, the Rock Island Conservation Club, a charter member of Mill Creek Country Club, and was a member of First United Methodist Church, in Rock Island for over 80 years. His marriage to Frances Welch took place June 7, 1940 in Rock Island. She preceded in him death on April 10, 1985. Also preceded in death by his son John in 1987, his parents William, Sr. and Florence Dickman and his brother George. Mr. Dickman is survived by his son Thomas (Linda Eckermann) of Trenton, Michigan; his grandchildren Suzanne (Pat) LeVasseur of White Lake Twp., Michigan, Julie (Rob) Melrose of Berkley, Michigan, Brent (Amy) Dickman of Northville, Michigan and Todd (Julie) Dickman 0f Wyandotte, Michigan and his great grandchildren Grant, Ian, Emmie, Luke, Alec, Sophie Ainsley and Michael.
